Who we are?
We are the whole band!
Why should we write about ourselves
when there are others who know how to do so even better…
THE BAND with the HARP
Good Mood Tour!
How is that supposed to work?? Fresh, rhythmic, melodic and beautiful…
Though everything started with a classical education, the sound of the Jeanine Vahldiek Band is mainly Pop/ Jazz/ Rock.
Her love to music directed Jeanine to the university of music “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin, where she studied orchestra musician with a diploma in harp. To find her place in live she migrated to Australia, where she came in contact with new musical influences. After a little trip to China she was inspired to write her first songs and lyrics. She had found what she wanted to do for the rest of her live…!
Back in Germany she started her band in 2010 and is on tour since then to promote her songs successfully. She has found a very compassionate co-musician in Steffen Haß.
Steffen has studied at the university of music “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin as well and has been on tour as a drummer with different bands, theater and stage productions.
With their exotic instruments they produce a very unique sound. They excite their audience as well as event manager and other musicians, which results in the band growing and expanding.
With “Kitschig Wunderbar” the fifth album came out in 2019. Already published are the CD’s “no hardship” (2017), “blank canvas” (2014), “a little courage” (2012) and “come with me” (2010).
…Harp and Drums in perfect harmony…
A fascinating mix of orchestra harp, drums and voice excited the audience at the ‘alte Stellmacherei’ on sunday. ‘A little band with a big harp’ – Jeanine Vahldiek and Steffen Haß – performed in front of a sold out house. They played and sang songs composed by themselves with an influence of pop, rock and jazz. Opening the evening the colorful clothed harpist coaxed soft tones out of her instrument…
The audience was captured straight away…
‘Today we would like to create a little coziness and relaxation in you. But there will also be some philosophical and funny stuff. Steffen is gonna start playing together with me now – full on! That’ll please the first row…’ Vahldiek announced. And she did not promise too much. Her colleague combined the full force of his percussion set with the next song ‘No Dignity’; cajon, triangle, cymbal and more – he made them harmonize with the soft harp of his band member in a wonderful way… “
